United Rushmoor present "Best of Both" A U.K/Nepali cross culture event that will showcase Food, Music, Dance, and Crafts from British and Nepalese cultures, it promises to be a great day for all
Over the last few years, Rushmoors population has grown rapidly with an increase of Nepali/ex Gurkhas and I started to notice divides building within our community. Having three children, I decided that I did not want my family growing up in an environment of segregation, and so “United Rushmoor” was born.
“United Rushmoor” is committed to making positive steps to build a single community for all the residents of Rushmoor.
We believe that the best way forwards is to take the best of all cultures and build a single community where we can coexist in harmony, break down the walls between us and work towards a future for Rushmoor that focuses on everyone standing side by side.
We hope to achieve this by creating events and sports teams that will help build cross community cohesion by working, playing and socialising as one community.
We have so much to offer each other and already have a great history of working together in the past that it seems that it would be easy for us to work together for the future.
We all can do something to make a difference. It can be as small as a smile, a friendly nod of the head, joining us at one of our events or becoming a member of one of our teams. But it is clear to us that if we work together we will be able to create

Our first event will be at The Kings Centre Aldershot on Saturday the 4th of February so come and join us to look around the craft stalls and sample some food then watch and listen to some of the performing arts displays on the stage from the U.K and Nepal.
We will also have a raffle with prizes donated by local businesses and much more so if you want to host a stall or donate a prize for the raffle or just want more information please get in touch.
